Winter sure did fly by, and now it’s Easter! The real start to spring begins this weekend, and hopefully someone will tell the weather that. Either way here are 10 fabulous things to do this weekend to celebrate the holiday with your family.

Easter Egg Hunt

If putting together your own Easter egg hunt for Sunday morning seems like way too much work, don’t fret, towns all over the Cape will be hosting egg hunts this weekend including:

  • Centerville Elementary Easter Egg Hunt: At the Centerville Elementary School playground from 10 a.m. to noon March 26 and 27th
  • Falmouth Easter Egg Scramble: 10 a.m. on March 26 on the Falmouth Public Library lawn. The Easter Bunny will be there.
  • Orleans Annual Easter Egg Hunt: March 26 at Sea Call Farm (Tonset Road, opposite the cemetery) starting at 1 p.m. Be sure to bring your own basket.

Spring Cleaning

What better time to start your spring cleaning than to get the house nice and tidy before all of your relatives come over for Easter dinner?

Easter Brunch

Sit down with the family and have brunch together before or after church. Fry up some eggs or trade in your frying pan for a nice comfy seat at The Barnstable Restaurant and Tavern. They’ll be cooking up a mean three-course brunch from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Easter Sunday for just $18.95.

Dye Eggs

Purchase a dye kit from any supermarket, hard boil some eggs and get to work. It’s a fun but messy activity that kids look forward to every year. Then in the morning crack those bad boys open and make yourself a nice breakfast.

Go See The Easter Bunny
