Each month, A Cape Eye On Books will award an Advance Reader’s Copy of an upcoming book by a best-selling author to the reader who submits the best answer to our question of the month. An ARC is a copy of the book that the publisher sends out to bookstores and reviewers pre-publication..
The winner of our January contest is Donna Morris who responded to the question “What was the last book that make you change the way you thought about love?”
Donna wrote: “After Life” by Jill McCorkle expanded my view of who in your life you can love deeply. It may be someone you meet at work, or someone that you and reach out and give love to, not just your own family and friends. The novel showed how love can touch our lives in many ways.”
Donna will receive an Advance Readers Copy of “Hour Of The Bees” by Lindsay Eagar about which the publisher says, “Magic blends with reality in a stunning coming-of-age novel about a girl, a grandfather, wanderlust and reclaiming your roots.” The book will be released nationally in March.

NEXT CONTEST: What book did you last read that you couldn’t put down, neglecting sleep and family to finish? Answer in the comments section below and include an email address. Entries must be submitted by March 1.

And finally, before we say goodbye to February and this month’s theme, passion, here are Five Great Romance Novels to love:

Classic:
Anna Karenina” by Leo Tolstoy (I’m a fool for doomed romance)
Jane Eyre” by Charlotte Bronte (Of course)
Wuthering Heights” by Emily Bronte (Cathy and Heathcliff – sigh)

Contemporary
The Splendor of Silence” by Indu Sundaresan (Set in India, the love story of an Indian woman and American Soldier)
The Night Circus” by Erin Morgenstien (story of two magicians in competition who fall in love)
