Cape Cod Margarita – Just in time for Cinco De Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is only a day away. It celebrates a victory by Mexico over France, and now many of us celebrate by eating tacos and having a few cervezas or margaritas.

Legend has it the margarita was invented in the 30s by a bartender for a Ziegfeild dancer named Majorie King who was allergic to most spirits but not Tequila.

Here at CapeCod.com we think everything is better if it’s Cape Cod themed.

Here’s a fun Cape Cod twist on an old favorite.

Check out the Cape Cod Margarita:

5 ounces Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce
1 1/2 ounces white tequila
1 1/2 ounces lime juice
1/2 ounce triple sec
5 ounces of crushed ice

Put all ingredients in a blender.

Blend on high for a few seconds or until everything is blended through then pour in a glass.

Garnish with extra a slice of lime.
