Check Out These Events On The Cape This Week

Spring is in the air and in our yards! There is a lot going on this week as we finally turn the page from Winter to Spring! Here are a few of our top picks for this week:

Coffee With the Yarmouth Police Chief, Wed, 4/10, Cultural Center of Cape Cod
Coffee with Chief of Police provides an opportunity for the community to hear directly from the Chief of the Yarmouth Police Department on a monthly basis. Attendees may also hear from fellow YPD officers who have impacted our community by saving lives and keeping our streets safe. 9am start time. 

Stargazing at Lowell Park, Cotuit, Wed, 4/10, 7:30 PM
This is the first of several stargazing events for the summer months, and Cotuit Library has everything you need to participate! They have the telescopes, just bring yourself (although all telescopes will be welcome!). The rain date for this event is Friday, April 12th @ 7:30 PM. The program is free but please register at cotuitlibrary.org.

Ladies’ Herbal Night Out, Fri, 4/12, 5:30 PM, Hyannis Country Garden
An evening with CL Fornari, who’ll craft cocktails and mocktails with herbs, then help you work on your own Herbal Planter in a Whitewashed Pot. Community Clean-Up Day Yarmouth, Sat, 4/13, 8:30 AM, Town Hall (RAIN DATE: SUN)
Come together with your neighbors to make a big and visible difference in our community. Each volunteer will receive a safety vest, detailed map and instructions, and trash bags. Bring gloves if you have them. After the cleanup is complete, everyone will meet back at the Yarmouth Town Hall for a

Spring Celebration, Sat, 4/13, 9-12, Pilgrim Monument, Provincetown
Have breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Seashore Point, then hop to the Monument for an egg hunt. All ages are welcome – but kids must be accompanied by adults. Pilgrim-monument.org

“Ale Away” Beer & Wine Festival for Sail Cape Cod, West End Restaurant, Hyannis, Sat 4/13

Cape Cod Mall Easter Egg Hunt, Sat, 4/13, 10-12
Bring an Easter basket to the Mall Management Office, pick-up a clue list and follow this scavenger style hunt through the mall collecting eggs along the way! A $2.00 donation to Simon Youth Foundation is encouraged.

First Responders Appreciation Day & Touch-A-Truck, Yarmouth, Sat 4/13 

Howard Lodge of Masons in South Yarmouth will be holding its 2nd Annual First Responders Appreciation Day from 10 am to 2 pm. The public is invited to come see and touch police cars, motorcycles, fire trucks, an ambulance, and an actual Coast Guard boat! Food will be available, and a bounce house for the kids. We are located at the corner of Rt 28 and Wood Road, next to Yarmouth Town Hall. Bring the whole family and come meet and greet Cape Cod’s First Responders, and see how they do their jobs!

Seal Shower/Open House, Sat, 4/13, 10 AM, National Marine Life Center, Buzzards Bay

Suede in Concert, Sat, 4/13, 7 PM, Sandwich Town Hall
Sandwich Arts Alliance presents the return of Wellfleet musician, vocalist and entertainer Suede for the final performance of the four part “Village Concert Series.” Suede sings original material and pop, blues and jazz standards – she’s been described by The New York Times as a cross between Adele, Diana
