Dennis Highlands Offers the Total Golfing Experience

If you’re looking for a better golfing experience, Dennis Highlands is the place for you. More than just a simple golf course, it’s an event to be savored and revisited as often as possible. Its fairways are meticulously manicured, lush and stunning to behold – a true sight for sore eyes after such a harsh and long winter.

Dennis Highlands was built and opened in 1984, almost 20 years after its sister course, Dennis Pines was established. It’s an 18-hole layout, and a little more open than the Pines, making it not as difficult, according to manager Maryellen Fabiano-Stowe. “This is definitely the course you want to play if you are a novice golfer or would like to have that leisurely outing with friends or family.”
Recent, extensive renovations to Dennis Highlands have made it a much more golfer-friendly venue.

Whether you’re a professional or a novice; whether you want to play 18 holes or just hit a bucket of balls; whether you’re a member or just visiting for a few hours – this is the perfect place that allows for an improved total golf experience. It’s open to the public, but has the feel of a private club.

“For starters, we tripled the size of the Pro Shop! Before the renovation, the Pro Shop was so small, oftentimes people needed to wait in the lobby to check in, and we would have to put our clothes racks out there as well to make room for patrons to check in,” Fabiano-Stowe said. “Now, this is a shop filled with all the necessities to play golf, and we still have the ability to check in golfers.”

And that’s only the beginning. “We have even included two large screen televisions to have up to the minute weather information along with the Leaderboard of any Pro Golf Tournament! The video screen in the lobby provides information to members and guests about upcoming events, tournaments and meetings, instruction information from our Licensed Pro, current rates, and anything that we feel may be pertinent to our patrons.” She added that they’ve also installed a handicap-accessible lift to the lower level, where leagues can meet and post their information.

The restaurant and kitchen at the club have also undergone a complete renovation, doubling the size of the dining area. The kitchen was completely gutted and renewed with all new fixtures and appliances. “Now, more than ever, this is the place to hold your tournament or function, as the ability to handle a larger crowd capacity is available,” said Fabiano-Stowe. “The Eagle’s Nest is excited to host you and your guests, or your entire tournament.”

The menu is full of great choices for every day, she said, and the event coordinator is happy to sit down and discuss a menu for any tournament or function you have in mind. Plus, new this year, they will be operating a hospitality cart on the golf course, along with the 10th-hole tee snack shack. Talk about convenience! And speaking of carts, they now have a fleet of brand-new golf carts for you to enjoy in comfort.

Dennis Highlands also offers great specials throughout the season. “As summer begins, we have our Mid-Summer, Mid-Week, Mid-Day special – on Tuesdays through Thursdays between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., you can play 18 holes with a cart for $60!” said Fabiano-Stowe. “That is quite a bargain. You can book that tee time within seven days of play as well. And we still offer our senior discount for greens fees – $20 for nine holes Mondays through Thursdays after 2 p.m., and our outstanding Junior Green Fee rate – juniors pay $10 after 3 p.m. daily when accompanied by a paying adult or member. That’s a great time for youngsters to really learn the game of golf without hurting the wallet.”

Booking a tee time at Dennis Golf has never been easier and can be done several ways for your convenience. You can download the app by searching Dennis Golf in the App Store or Google Play, which will allow you to make tee times within seven days of play. You can also book online by visiting www.dennisgolf.com.

“And we still love talking with all our guests and members,” said Fabiano-Stowe, “so you can always call during Pro Shop hours at 508-385-8347 and one of our staff would be happy to book your outing for you!”
