Need something to do with mom on Cape that doesn’t break the bank on Mother’s Day? Check out this list of various activities that show that you truly care without entering money into the equation.
Remember that it is about spending quality time with mom on her special day!
- Head out to the National Seashore, walk on the dunes or drive along the coast stopping at different scenic spots. Catch the sunrise or sunset at her favorite beach!
- Take her to a free class on the Cape. There are plenty of painting, pottery, dancing, cooking and language classes spread around the Cape. Check out your local libraries for other free events as well.
- Break out the old photo albums of the family and take a trip into the past. Also help upload some of these photos into her phone/tablet/computer so that she always has them.
- Give mom a hand cleaning up around the house. Whether it’s putting away winter clothes, cleaning out the basement or doing some yard work around the yard, she is sure to appreciate it!
- Take her out to a restaurant where moms eat free. While this technically won’t be free for you, it would certainly be cheaper than paying for both of you!
- Take her on a lighthouse tour of several of the Cape’s most iconic sites.
- Write her an essay describing a time when Mom was there for you when you needed her.
