Willy is a charming gentle giant! He was surrendered by a breeder who needed our help with an overwhelming number of dogs on the property. Unfortunately, due to the conditions and lack of preventative care, Willy has tested positive for both heartworm and Lyme Disease. He will begin treatment with the MSPCA but is seeking a special home where he can get the rest and relaxation he needs. Willy is shy and gets stressed when meeting strangers so he prefers to stay off the adoption floor as he waits for his special someone. Once he’s settled in his new home, however, we believe he’ll become more confident and exhibit typical breed characteristics such as territorial barking and an independent nature. We seek someone with a lifestyle supportive of a large, shy dog and preferably someone with either Anatolian shepherd experience or other breeds with livestock Guardian experience. Ask a staff member for more information if you feel he might be a good match for you!
