It’s Almost Time To Go Back To School

Classmate Classroom Sharing International Friend Concept

It’s that time of year again. Time to get out your storage bins, walking shoes, and credit cards and go back to school shopping.

For those shipping off to college like myself, save yourself time and money by getting all your supplies at Target. I’ve done that the last 3 years and I can tell you first hand that Target never fails.

I would recommend shopping online because their stores tend to not have all their best furniture and supplies out on the floor.  Target is also a good resource for school supplies such as notebooks, binders, pens etc. The convenience of having both furniture and school supplies in the same location makes Target the perfect place for all your back-to-school needs.

Another discount store that can have great furniture finds is Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Just the other day I found a leather office desk chair for just under fifty dollars.

If you are moving into an apartment, buy temporary storage carts instead of an actual dresser. Not only are they easy to move around and transport, they are also much more space efficient and cheaper. If you are moving into a dorm, storage carts are still beneficial to have since most colleges don’t offer much dresser/closet space.

BUY YOUR TOILETRIES IN BULK!!!

Pharmacies are often hard to get to while at college unless you don’t mind paying for an Uber or a cab so it is best to go to school stocked up with all your necessary medications and shampoos.

As for the educational aspect of college, I would recommend getting your textbooks used off of Amazon because it is much cheaper and you can sell them back at the end of the semester.

Having your own reusable water bottle is essential. Buying cases of water is impractical and expensive. Buy a water brita filter to purify your water before drinking it and save the planet!

Another pro tip for all of you is to get your shopping done ahead of time and to not wait until the last minute. Not only is waiting until the last minute stressful, but also much of the college necessities sell out quickly.
