Everyone knows there’s no party quite like a Provincetown party and, now that another amazing summer season is over, the real fun is about to begin. So, if you haven’t been to Provincetown in the off-season, Halloween is the perfect time to visit!
Halloween in Provincetown is definitely a weekend to be experienced. It includes spooky parties and plays, street entertainment, haunted dances, free movie screenings, a haunted house and a costume ball. The festivities begin Friday, Oct. 26 and run through Nov. 2, culminating with the Day of the Dead Parade. There will literally be something for everyone!
Start your fun on Commercial Street, which will be filled with creatively costumed revelers and then make your way to historic Town Hall for a night of dancing and partying.
The Provincetown Library has a recurring event called “Free Movie Nights: Alfred Hitchcock’s Scariest Films” that is running on Oct. 17 (“Psycho”), Oct. 24 (“The Birds”), and Oct. 31 (“Frenzy”). Don’t forget, Halloween weekend in Provincetown also means Spooky Bear Weekend! The Northeast Ursamen brings you Spooky Bear 2018 – Law of the Jungle, which is similar to Bear Week, only compressed into a weekend with colder weather. You don’t even have to bring your own costumes to the Halloween festivities. Provincetown’s retailers love Halloween and have everything you can imagine and more to outfit you perfectly for parties, trick-or-treating, and feeling spooky.
This year will see the first Black and Gold Ball, on Saturday, Oct. 27, featuring DJ Lina. This amazing event will give you the opportunity to let your hair down and party like never before. All the clubs will be jumping, but there’s no better stage than Commercial Street to see and be seen: it’s the best free show in town on Halloween.
