Scrumptious Breakfast at the Wicked Oyster

Wicked Oyster

We all know the Wicked Oyster in Wellfleet is the place to be for a decadent seafood dinner experience–but what about breakfast? I tried it out this week and was absolutely delighted!

There couldn’t have been a better breakfast nook than their small section of outdoor seating. It was morning, before the heat rolled in, and the setup was lovely. We were right next to their entrance-way covered in flowers. If you’re having breakfast at a peak time and are hoping to eat outside, consider making a reservation, as the outdoor tables are limited. There is plenty of room indoors though!

We had an orange juice and mimosa, which arrived in no time. Our order of a Belgian waffle, scrambled eggs, fruit bowl, and pancakes followed shortly after. The waffle was a definite contender for being the lightest, fluffiest, waffle I’ve ever had the pleasure of munching on. The pancakes were also remarkable, sweet, and rich in flavor. I was also surprised to find that our fruit bowl had more than just berries, with kiwi and melon chopped into tiny pieces and added in.

Our service was always speedy and pleasant. I would definitely recommend the Wicked Oyster as a place to add to your breakfast spots for any trip to the lower or outer Cape. The Wicked Oyster is located at 50 Main Street, Wellfleet. They are open from 7:30am until noon for breakfast, and serve dinner at 5:oopm. Lunch returns to the menu in the fall. Enjoy your trip!
