There’s no shame in saying “I don’t feel like cooking an entire Thanksgiving feast” this year. It can be a long process, and relying on others to pitch in puts perfectionists at risk for disappointment with what is probably the most important meal of the year.

Surprisingly, there are plenty of restaurants on Cape Cod which stay open on the holiday to welcoming holiday diners. Everybody wins: the restaurant owners get a much-needed boost during their off season, and the locals get to kick their feet up instead of worrying about the pumpkin pie burning.
