September 16

Osterville Farmers Market

Held on the grounds of the Osterville Historical Museum, this local farmers market offers all the end-of-summer goodies you could want. It features local vendors and artisans selling breads, fruits, vegetables, flowers, jams, honey, butter, meats, cupcakes, cookies, salads, soaps and much more. This is the last regular weekend for this market, so don’t miss it! 155 West Bay Road, Osterville.

Farmers Market meets Happy Hour

Cape Cod Beer’s Farmers Market meets Happy Hour. Weather-permitting, the outdoor farmers market has live music and a beer garden. Vendors include Crow Farm, Ron’s Vegetable Garden, Underground Bakery, Cape Cod Cookies to Go, First Crush Winery, Grin Hola, Cape Cod Coffee Roasters, Mermaids on the Cape, Cape Cod Clutches, Swirls Jewelry and Wicked Good Kettle Corn. 6 p.m. Cape Cod Beer – 1336 Phinney’s Ln, Hyannis.

Circle by the Sea with Jackson Gilman

Don’t miss the last of the summer monthly campfire and musical gatherings at Sandy Neck Beach. Open talent is welcome to perform at all of these family fun circles. Toast marshmallows around a campfire. This weekend features Jackson Gillman and the Stand-Up Chameleon and includes songs and storytelling for all ages. $5 donation requested. Paddle for the Bays: Race Cape Cod

Meet at Ropes Beach in Cotuit and paddle your heart out for the love of our bays! Sponsored by Three Bays Preservation, this is a race for kayakers and stand-up paddle boarders. All ages and levels of paddlers can compete in this spirited challenge. You can either pay a flat fee to race ($95 for adults, $45 for kids under 16), or become a fundraiser and help in the fight for clean water. Help celebrate TBP’s 20th anniversary and join the fight. You are also invited to join the racers the night before for a pre-race dinner at Veteran’s Hall, in Osterville. Visit for more info.

Provincetown Farmers Market

The eclectic market offers local, organic foods, new vendors and expanded access to consumers. Located on Ryder Street next to the Provincetown Town Hall, you can shop for year-round, grass-fed beef, pork and lamb, free-range chickens, farm fresh eggs, honey, cheese, olive oil, jams and jellies, maple syrup, baked goods, plants, fresh cut flowers and more. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

MSPCA-Angell Cape Cod Walk for Animals

You can make a difference in the lives of thousands of animals by participating in this year’s MSPCA-Cape Cod Walk for Animals at Aselton Park in Hyannis. A brand-new, 2016 13-foot Super Sport Boston Whaler will be raffled off! Tickets are limited with only 500 available for purchase at $50 each. You can purchase them at the Adoption Center and at events all over the Cape.  Sign up as an individual walker (or if you are out of town, register as a ‘cat napper’) or form a team! Second Annual Harwich Hometown Parade

Bring the whole family to the Second annual Harwich Hometown Parade will step off at 11:30 a.m. at One Doane Road, in Harwich Port. The parade route is from Harwich Port to Harwich Center: Freeman’s Street to Route 28 to Doane Road to Sisson Road to Main Street (Route 39) to Oak Street. Sponsored by RPM Carpets and Floor Covering, Wequassett Resort and Golf Club, Brenda Weeks Travel, The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, Kinlin Grover and Snow & Thomson Insurance.

Gordon Lightfoot in Concert

After 50 active years of hit song making and international album sales well into the multi-millions, it’s safe to say that esteemed singer-songwriter and musician Gordon Lightfoot resides with some very exclusive company atop the list of all-time greats.
