Waggin’ Wednesday: Maddie The All American Mutt Needs A Home

Maddie is a 4 year old female mixed breed from North Carolina. She is very shy with new people and needs to take things at a slow pace. Once she is comfortable with you, she will follow you around like a shadow and wants to be a part of everything. When she came to the shelter, she was very fearful and not comfortable being touched, though she has never been aggressive. However, Maddie is now living temporarily in a wonderful foster home with two canine companion and a feline friend. Her foster parents have given her plenty of time and space, and now Maddie will allow petting. In her new home, she will need to have another dog to bond with, as she really comes out of her shell best with another dog to make her at ease. Are you the special person who is willing to give Maddie a home?

If you are interested in learning more, please call the shelter to speak with a staff member. Please note that Maddie is not at the shelter, so an appointment will need to be scheduled with her foster in order to meet her. Adopters should prepare to spend extra time, and likely multiple visits with her before taking her home.
