23rd Annual Women Running Wild 5K, Thurs, 6/13, 6 PM, 99 West Bay Road, Osterville

This long time women’s only favorite race will take place in the beautiful village of Osterville. This is a flat 5K with amazing ocean views. Grab your girlfriends and make it a fun night out – check the registration page for some fun post-race activities! The link is on the event’s facebook page.

Nantucket Book Festival, Fri, 6/14 – Sun, 6/16

This 3-day festival features book readings, discussions, cooking demonstrations, lunch and dinners with authors, youth literary awards, and story times. Nantucketbookfestival.org

7th Father/Daughter Dance, Fri, 6/14, 6:30 PM, Hyannis Youth & Community Center

All children in grades 1-7 and their adult companions are welcome to enjoy an evening dancing to a live DJ! Tickets are $20 per couple; bring extra kids for $5 each. Ticket price includes a lei necklace for your child, photo opportunities, fun, food and snacks.

Relay for Life Cape Cod, Sat & Sun, 6/15 & 6/16, Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School

Join teams of cancer survivors and volunteers who pledge to have members walk for 24 hours to raise money for research and services for patients and their families, to spread cancer awareness, to celebrate the memory of those who lost their lives to cancer, and to unite our community in the fight against cancer. Donations benefit the American Cancer Society.

Fathers Day Weekend Craft Festival, Sat & Sun, 6/15 & 6/16, Drummer Boy Park, Brewster

Over 100 artisans displaying arts, crafts, and specialty foods. Admission is free. Rain or Shine. Saturday 10-5, Sunday 9-4.

50th Anniversary Celebration Day, Sat, 6/15, All Day, Heritage Museums and Gardens

Saturday is the day – Heritage officially opened its doors for the first time 50 years ago! To celebrate, they’re rolling back the price of admission to 1969 – you’ll get in for just $1.50, thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod.

17th Run/Walk for the Arts, Sat, 6/15, Cultural Center of Cape Cod

48th Strawberry Festival, Sat, 6/15, 10 AM, Aptucxet Trading Post

Enjoy shopping for unique items from local artists and craftspeople at the crafts fair, the Aptucxet Garden Club will be selling plants in the Lyons Family Pavilion, and of course, the highlight of the day will be fresh strawberry shortcake with homemade biscuits and freshly whipped cream! 7th Orleans Historical Societys Annual Antiques Show, Sat, 6/15, 9-4

30 plus quality dealers will be offering fine antiques – art – jewelry – and mid-century decorative items. Admission is $6 for adults – kids under 12 are free. Show is located on the grounds of the Orleans Historical Society Museum on Main Street on the way to Nauset Beach. Scoops for Sloops, Sat, 6/15, Noon, Hyannis Village Green

Sail Cape Cod is hosting this family-friendly “all-you-can-eat” Ice Cream Fest, featuring 2 dozen delicious ice cream flavors from six of the Cape’s best ice cream shops. 18th Sheep Festival, Sun, 6/16, 9 AM, Taylor Bray Farm, Yarmouthport

25th Annual Fathers Day Car Show, Sun, 6/16, 8:30 AM, Main St., Hyannis

A fun weekend for the whole family! Live music begins on Saturday, and you can bring a picnic or buy food near the Village Green to enjoy. The on Sunday, more than 300 cars – old and new
