Dali-Inspired Dinner, Thurs, 5/2, 6 PM, Cultural Center of Cape Cod, Yarmouth

In honor of ArtWeek Massachusetts and the Art of Food, the Cultural Center is hosting an evening of adventurous eating using Salvador Dali’s’ recipes from his cookbook, Les Dinners de Gala. Roll the Rock, Fri, 5/3, 5-9 PM, Ryan’s, S. Yarmouth

40 local teams will bowl for charity Friday night – 100% of the funds raised go straight to some of the Cape’s most deserving nonprofits, so find a team to support and come cheer them on!

Salsa Fest, Fri, 5/3, 6-8 PM, Cape Cod Beer, Hyannis

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo a little early at this salsa competition! If you think you’ve got the world’s best salsa, sign up to compete and whip up a giant batch – be prepared to bring a list of all the ingredients, by the way. Lovin’ Life 5K, Sat, 5/4, 9 AM, Life, Inc, Great Neck Rd, Mashpee

This 5K supports LIFE’s mission to support services for independent living for local adults with learning and intellectual disabilities. The Race is mainly flat, and the registration fee is $30 online – $35 day of. You’ll enjoy food, music, and prizes after your run. Sign up at lifecapecod.org.


STEM Journey, Sat, 5/4, 3-6 PM, Sandwich High School

The 6th annual STEM Journey program hosted by Sandwich High School has been rescheduled for this weekend. The theme of this edition is The International Space Station and Beyond. Enjoy a keynote lecture given by NASA scientists from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, and there will be hands-on STEM-related activities throughout the event. Food will be available. This event is free but pre-register to skip the long registration line.

Swim With the Santas, Sat, 5/4, 1:30 PM, Cape Codder Water Park, Hyannis 

The Annual Northeast Santa Gathering on Cape Cod is held every spring on Cape Cod – over 60 Santas helpers, plus Mrs. Claus and a few elves will converge on the Cape this weekend. Come meet the Santas and enjoy a swim with them at the Cape Codder Water Park – admission is half price for the day only! 6th Kentucky Derby Gala, Sat, 5/4, 3-6, Cotuit Center for the Arts

It’s Cotuit’s annual Run for the Roses party! Celebrate the Kentucky Derby Cotuit Style with live betting, a hat parade and contest, photo ops with horses, surprise events and of course, mint juleps! Annual Blue Knights Blessing of the Bikes, Sun, 5/5, 10 AM, West Dennis Beach

The Cape Cod & Islands chapter of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club will host the 43rd Annual Blessing of the Bikes. The event is Sunday, May 5 at West Dennis Beach. Gates open at 9:30 a.m. with the blessing to take place at noon. The suggested minimum donation is $5 per bike and the event is rain or shine.
