Why I Like Shopping at Harwich Paint and Decorating

Several years ago I stopped into a local hardware store when I needed a single downspout bracket. It’s a small, cheap, and insignificant item – but I really needed one. An employee at Harwich Paint and Decorating smiled, led me to a selection of brackets, and asked if I needed anything else.

Having these brackets in stock and knowing exactly where to find them impressed me greatly – such care was given to this trivial item. Although I only spent $2.00 that day, that experience has brought me back to Harwich Paint and Decorating time and time again!

You’ll find them conveniently located at 181 Route 137 in Harwich and on the web.

Each department is clearly marked, making it easy to find things even if you have a long list. Products are well organized within each aisle – never a mess. If you need assistance locating an item, help is always nearby and they know their store well. You won’t encounter anyone saying, “That’s not my department.”

Most recently I bought a work light for my workbench area. It worked out so well, I went back to buy another, but they were sold out, but said they’d have more on Friday. When I returned a few days later, there were more of the exact model I needed. Shopping with Harwich Paint and Decorating has always been quick and easy.

This past Summer I needed an outlet strip for my son’s guitar amp, a shower head, and a replacement spindle for a toilet paper dispenser. I never know what random things will wind up on my list, but I always know where to go for our home supplies.

As their namesake indicates, you’ll also find a large selection of paint. From classic white for exterior trim to custom color matching, I’ve had great success and learned a lot from my various purchases. Very often they make suggestions I hadn’t even considered. They’ve also been very helpful in recommending outdoor deck treatments.

When it comes to projects around the house – both big and small – we often associate large box-stores with convenience and variety. They’re so big, they must have everything, right? Well, sometimes they do, but if you want a more personal experience and some good advice, it’s hard to beat the efficiency of a local hardware store.
