YMCA Cape Cod Hosts 2018 Golf Tournament

The YMCA Cape Cod is gearing up for its 2018 Golf Tournament, taking place this year at the New Seabury Country Club, in Mashpee. This year’s amazing, all-day event begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, with a noontime shotgun start. It will include lunch, dinner, live and silent auctions and the funds raised will benefit an array of wonderful programs offered to local kids and teens by the YMCA.

“The proceeds from this golf tournament, in addition to our annual campaign, will go to fund our many programs,” said Stacie Peugh, President and CEO of YMCA Cape Cod. “These not only include our before- and after-school programs, summer camp programs and our scholarships, which pay for tuition and membership, as well as other programs, but the proceeds will allow kids who could not otherwise enjoy the benefits of YMCA programs to do so.

“We never turn anyone away from programs and services due to their inability to pay for them,” she said. “The current demand for scholarships right now is greater than what we have in resources. The golf tournament and annual campaign will help fund these.”

This year’s live auction items include Patriots tickets, a football autographed by Tom Brady, tickets to the Riverwalk Resort at Loon Mountain, and so many other wonderful items. The online auction includes a variety of fun weekend getaways, tickets to Cape Symphony, a Bass and Blues fishing trip, and other gifts.

The silent auction includes overnight stays at the SeaCrest in Falmouth, the Cape Codder in Hyannis, a spa package at Solstice Day Spa, and other wonderful items that could be yours.

The big auction “win,” however, is a three-day/two-night stay for 12 to 14 people at an incredible, private estate in Orleans. This estate is located in the heart of Orleans Village on picturesque Town Cove. The Main House has five bedrooms, two full baths and three half baths. The Carriage House is steps away with two more bedrooms and two full baths with a full kitchen. Take a look at this stunning vacation escape here.

The cost to play in the tournament is $200 per golfer or $800 per foursome. There are sponsorship opportunities available starting at $150, and sponsorships of $1,000 and up include a foursome.
