10 People Arraigned in Plymouth Prostitution Investigation

gavelPLYMOUTH (AP) – Ten people have been arraigned on prostitution and human trafficking charges at three massage parlors in Plymouth

Authorities say six women and three men face charges of sex trafficking, maintaining a house of prostitution, sexual conduct for a fee and possession of child pornography.

Police say they began investigating the Elysium Spa, Boakang Body Works and Magic Touch Spa in August after anonymous tips.

Police say more than 20 men told them in interviews that they gave women tips for “happy endings” after their hour-long massages, but none of the men have been charged. They could be called to testify.

Defense attorneys said in court Thursday most of the charges would eventually be dismissed due to holes in the state’s case.
