SANDWICH – A preschool in Sandwich focused on STEM education is enrolling children for the fall school year.
Entering its fourth year, the Hundred Acre School at Heritage Museums & Gardens is designed to prepare students for success through classroom learning, exploring Heritage’s 100 acres of trails, woodlands and gardens, along with interactive activities with the museum’s collections.
The next Third Thursday Tour is Thursday at 10 a.m. The event provides information and a tour.
Hundred Acre’s mission is to teach using the child’s curiosity and ease at learning through play, while emphasizing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math as a springboard into future learning.
The curriculum at the school covers the objectives outlined by the Massachusetts Preschool Learning Experiences developed by the state’s Department of Early Education and Care and aligns with standardized assessments.
The school is for 4 and 5-year-old students and is offered in full- and half-day programs with the options of three, four or five days a week. It also offers extended day options from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
