102nd Intelligence Wing Installs New Commander

BOURNE – The 102nd Intelligence Wing at Joint Base Cape Cod held a change of command ceremony on Sunday, installing Col. David McNulty as the commander.

McNulty succeeds Col. Virginia Gaglio, wo has served as commander since June 2016.

McNulty has served in a variety of operations support and leadership positions in both flying squadrons and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance units.

He earned his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Boston University in 1993.

McNulty is a career intelligence officer who began his service in the active duty Air Force and transitioned into the Air Reserve Component in 2001, where he served first in the District of Columbia Air National Guard and later the Massachusetts Air National Guard.

As vice-commander, he was responsible for the activities of more than 1,200 military and civilian personnel ready to respond to domestic emergencies in the Commonwealth while training and maintaining preparedness.

McNulty has deployed around the world in support of contingency operations in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.

During his career, he has commanded at the squadron and group levels, most notably the 102nd Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group, part of the Distributed Common Ground System enterprise.
