10th Annual Big Nick’s Ride for the Fallen Takes Place Sunday

YARMOUTH – The 10th Annual Big Nick’s Ride for the Fallen takes place on Sunday.

The ride is held in honor of Nicholas Xiarhos, a U.S. Marine who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2009, and the 15 other Cape Codders who have died serving our country since 9/11.

It will begin with opening ceremonies at the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department in Bourne at 9 a.m.

The ride will continue throughout Cape Cod before ending at Dennis-Yarmouth High School, where there will be live music, BBQ lunch, vendors and raffles.

All proceeds benefit the Nicholas G. Xiarhos Foundation, which supports local military families, veterans, and a scholarship at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, Nick’s alma mater.
