10th Annual Canal Run for the Troops To Raise Funds for Military Overseas

BUZZARDS BAY – A run next month along the Cape Cod Canal will raise money to mail Christmas care packages to military personnel overseas.

The 10th annual Canal Run for the Troops on October 6th will include 5K and 10K runs, prizes, lunch and entertainment at the Buzzards Bay Recreation Area.

Since 2005, the organization has mailed over 26,000 packages to deployed troops, along with supporting veterans, wounded servicemen and women and honoring fallen heroes.

Registration for the run starts at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event with the run starting at 10 a.m. The cost is $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the run.
