1,250 Take Part in Cape Cod Marathon Sunday Events

FALMOUTH – 1,250 runners took the streets in Falmouth on Sunday for the Cape Cod Marathon.

550 ran in the individual marathon, with Bryan Morseman of Bath, New York taking the crown for the men and Amy Steffan of Madison, Connecticut winning the women’s race.

Morseman ran the course in 2 hours, 30 minutes, and 1 second, easily beating the field and finishing nearly 19 minutes ahead of second-place finisher Tom Thurston. Steffan finished in 3 hours, 9 minutes, 41 seconds.

700 runners took part in the Marathon relay event.
