PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) — A teenager has been arrested and charged with stealing a 150-pound lobster statue named “Sir-Loin” from a waterfront park in Massachusetts.
The Boston Globe reports that police in Plymouth arrested the 15-year-old boy on Friday.
The 5-foot-tall ceramic lobster sculpture was ripped from its stand on Sept. 3 at Nelson Memorial Park, about a mile north of the historic Plymouth Rock. It was part of an outdoor exhibit of lobster sculptures.
The boy has been charged with larceny over $250 and malicious destruction of property over $250.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in juvenile court.
