$150,000 In Funding Considered For Barnstable Libraries, Cemeteries

The Sturgis Library - Route 6A, Barnstable VillageBARNSTABLE – $150,000 in funding could soon be distributed to town cemeteries and the seven village libraries  in Barnstable.

The money comes from the Kirkman Trust Fund, which benefits libraries and cemeteries in Barnstable.

Town Manager Tom Lynch is reviewing the proposal and anticipates recommending its approval in the next few weeks.

Lynch met recently with Town Treasurer Debra Blanchette and Bo Murdoch, the Chairman of the Trust Fund Advisory Committee to discuss the funding. The Trust Fund Advisory Committee recommended the $150,000 distribution.
