17th Century Swedish Naval Vessel Coming to Provincetown

PROVINCETOWN – “Kalmar Nyckel,” the full-scale replica of a 17th century Swedish naval vessel of Delaware, arrives in Provincetown later this month for day and evening sails from MacMillan Pier.

This unique hands-on experience offers adventure and education, allowing participants to haul lines, set sails, hear tales from the crew, bring a picnic, or simply enjoy the sail.

The ship will kick-off its visit with two 2.5 hour sails on Sunday, July 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Sails are scheduled twice daily on Monday, July 22, through Thursday, July 25.

The vessel will be closed on Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27 but will re-open again for sails at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on both Sunday and Monday, July 28, and 29.

Sailing tickets are $60 for adults and $40 for ages 17 and under.
