BOSTON – $20 million in grants have been awarded by the Baker-Polito Administration for energy storage projects.
The 26 projects will develop the Commonwealths storage market and benefit ratepayers and the electric grid. Nantucket and Vineyard Haven will share in the grant.
The administration doubled the initial commitment after assessing the benefits and strength of submitted projects. They will help the Bay State continue being one of the nation’s leaders in energy efficiency.
“Funding these storage projects is an investment in our energy portfolio that will reduce costs for ratepayers and help create a clean and resilient energy future,” said Baker.
