Barnstable County Sheriff’s ‘Summer Youth Academy’ Accepting Applications

BOURNE- The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department is gearing up for their 2018 summer youth academy.

During the program, local correctional, educational, and police officials will provide a supportive environment for Barnstable County youth between the ages of 12 and 16, in the hopes to foster improved social skills, increased resiliency, and better decision making.

The academy will start July 10th and run 3 days a week for 4 weeks ending on August 2nd.

Sessions will begin at 8:30 AM and end at 1 PM. All applicants, parents and guardians will be invited to a family orientation meeting on Tuesday, June 26 th at 6pm.

The deadline to apply for this program is set for June 25th.
