2018 Buzzards Bay Coalition ‘Watershed Ride’ Set for September

BUZZARDS BAY – Bikers strap on those helmets as the 12th annual ‘Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride’ raising funds for clean water around the Cape, is set to kick off this September.

Riders can choose from 100, 75, and 35-mile cycling routes that wind through farmland, coastal villages, cityscapes, cranberry bogs, and the back roads between Sakonnet Point and Cape Cod, ending with a waterfront finish line party in Woods Hole.

All riders will be fully supported with SAG wagons, ace bike mechanics, as well as first aid.

Each cyclist is required to raise a minimum of $300 to support the Buzzards Bay Coalition’s work to protect the local environment. Team participation will also be welcomed and encouraged.

In addition to the $300 entrance fee, a $50 rider registration fee will allow access to five water stops, a food truck lunch, dinner buffet with beer, wine, and live music, prizes for top fundraisers, and more.

Peddling is set to begin Saturday, September 30th.
