CENTERVILLE – The 2018 Cape Cod Travel Guide is ready to hit the streets.
With the summer tourism season getting closer, the annual publication encourages readers to choose the Cape for their to vacation and helps them make the most of their stay.
Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce CEO Wendy Northcross said each year’s edition is exciting, even for her. “Every year we change up the content. We do different stories and different features. I think people are going to like it. It’s a lot of fun. I live here, and I learn some things reading our magazine.”
Features in this year’s edition include a five-day family fun itinerary, things you can only do on Cape Cod, environmentally friendly car-free journeys, and the best places to get lobster and ice cream.
The guide does some traveling of its own, with distribution reaching across the nation, Canada and seven overseas countries.
Northcross points out that the guide offers assistance well beyond choosing which area to vacation in.
“Once they’ve settled on a destination, they want a deeper dive. They want more details on what they can do every single day on vacation. Are there new restaurants? Are there new things for the kids to do?”
Last year, the chamber’s website was visited more than 1.3 million times. In addition to posting content from the travel guide, there are weekly travel blogs.
