2019 Walk for Home Charity Event Planned for Next Month

ORLEANS – The Homeless Prevention Council announced its 2019 Walk for Home charity event next month.

The 3.2 mile walk will take place in historic Provincetown and bring participants along Main Street.

Event contact Aodhan Hemeon McMahon said, “It’s a 3.2 mile walk right through Main Street, it’s going to be really a lot of fun, we have a lot of walkers already and we are hoping to get a lot more.”

“All of the funds that we raise will go towards HPC’s mission of supporting self-sufficiency and housing stability for residents in need on the lower and outer Cape.”

David Willard will serve as the honorary chairperson for the event.

“Our goal is not only to spread awareness of the extraordinary work HPC is doing, but also to raise money to help it carry on its mission,” Said Willard.

After the walk, participants will meet at the Town Hall Auditorium for food, fun and prizes.

“After the walk we’re going to meet back at the Town Hall Auditorium for some fun, music, some food and just to have a really fun day out in Provincetown,” Hemeon-McMahon continued.

The walk is set to take place on Saturday, June 8, registration will begin at 9 a.m., the walk begins at 10 a.m.
