$2,500 Scholarships To Be Awarded To Essay Contest Winners

HYANNIS – High school seniors are invited to participate in an essay contest being presented by the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum Foundation. 

The challenge is to explain the meaning of the famous quote from JFK’s inaugural address, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” 

Essays must include how the quote relates to the participant’s civic engagement experiences, and how these have made them a better citizen. 

They should be between 300 to 500 words in length and must be accompanied by an application. 

There will be two winners chosen, who will each receive a $2,500 scholarship. 

Essays can be emailed as an attachment, or sent by  post. 

The deadline is April 6^th.
