Cape Cod & Islands Faith and Science Forum Set For Next Weekend

CHATHAM – St. Episcopal Church will host the 2nd annual Cape Cod & Islands Faith and Science Forum Saturday, October 26 in Chatham.

The event brings together faith, science, political and advocacy leaders to address climate change and actions needed to protect the Cape and Islands.

The event runs from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Founder and CEO of Cape Air and former Cape and Islands State Senator Dan Wolf will moderate the forum.

Presenters include Dr. Philip Duffy, the president and executive director of the Woods Hole Research Center; Dr. Mary Evelyn Tucker, co-founder and co-director of the Yale Forum on Religion & Ecology; and Cape and Islands State Senator Julian Cyr (D-Truro).

Featured panelists are Richard Delaney, the president and CEO of the Center for Coastal Studies; Andrew Gottlieb, the executive director of the Association to Preserve Cape Cod; Chris Powicki, a member of 350 Cape Cod; and Montana Bailey, the co-president of Nauset Regional High School’s Green Club, and a member of the Human Rights Academy.
