NORTH FALMOUTH – Women from across the Cape will be gathering next month for the 2nd Annual Driven Women: Cape Cod’s Conference for Women.

The all-day event designed to inspire, celebrate, empower and collaborate growth will be held on Thursday, March 10 at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in North Falmouth from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

“Cape Cod’s Conference for Women is more than just a conference. It’s a destination and also a movement,” said Marie Younger Blackburn, the event’s organizer. “And we drive this movement year round.”

The event will feature two keynote speakers, Michelle Mona Thompson and Donna Mac. Thompson is a national speaker, entrepreneur, philanthropist and author of “I Will Rise.” Mac is a veteran broadcaster who has worked at stations in Boston, Providence and Worcester for more than 25 years.

Attendees will also participate in breakout groups, networking and shopping from dozens of vendors.

“What I would hope to accomplish is that we would realize, as women here on Cape Cod, that we are better together than we are apart,” Blackburn said. “That we have the opportunity to work together and continue to grow ourselves and our economy and by doing so we could be the change in our own communities.”

The leading sponsor of the event is Eastern Bank.

Tickets for the event are $125 in advance and can be purchased at www.capecodconferenceforwomen.com. Tickets will also be available at the door for $150, but Blackburn envisions the event selling out prior to March 10. There is a limited capacity of 400 attendees.
