$30,000 In Grants Awarded To Chatham Nonprofits

CHATHAM – Ten nonprofit organizations which serve the residents of Chatham have received grants totaling $30,000.

The sum, provided by The Chatham Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation, will be dispersed among local groups including The Family Pantry of Cape Cod, Creative Arts Center, Homeless Prevention Council, Wellfleet Bay Wildlife sanctuary and Lower cape Outreach Council.

The chair of the fund’s advisory committee points out that some programs will provide support for those in need, some will focus on education and youth development, while others will provide opportunities for families and seniors to enjoy activities throughout  the area.

Falmouth and Sandwich are the only other cape towns which have similar funds with the foundation.
