HYANNIS – Cape Cod Community College will be performing sewer improvements on Bearse’s Way in Hyannis between Route 132 and Enterprise Road starting today.
Improvements include excavation of the roadway for the installation of sewer piping and paving.
Work is expected to be completed by October 7, weather permitting.
Today, vehicle travel southbound along Bearse’s Way between Route 132 and Enterprise Road will be prohibited, with traffic detoured down Route 132.
Starting on Monday, vehicle travel southbound along Bearse’s Way from Route 132 during construction will be detoured down Pitcher’s Way.
Vehicle travel northbound from Route 28 along Bearse’s Way will be minimally impacted and will consist of one lane traffic along Bearse’s Way.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid the construction work.
Construction will start at 7 a.m. and run until 5 p.m., after which traffic will be opened back onto both lanes of the roadway.
