4C’s Hosts Workplace Training Sessions

WEST BARNSTABLE – Cape Cod Community College’s Center for Corporate and Professional Education (CCPE) is presenting workplace training sessions.

The sessions will be on “Communication and Conflict Management”, “Building Effective Working Relationships” and “Time Management and Productivity”.

The resources to support the programs, that are free to qualifying employers, come from $122,000 in State Direct Access Program funds awarded to CCPE.

The college is hosting information sessions on the program on January 4 and 5 in Plymouth and Cape Cod.

“Many of the employers in this region are small businesses with 100 employees or fewer, and they need access to affordable workforce training options to enhance the skill sets of their employees,” said Tammi Jacobsen, Director of Workforce Development and Training at CCPE.

To qualify for the program, employees must work in Massachusetts, the company must pay into the Workforce Training Fund and be current with unemployment insurance benefit payments.

Over the past two years, CCPE has increased contract training initiatives in the region, working with several employers to help build worker skill sets through intensive communication, productivity, management and leadership training.

The program runs until June 2018 and employers are urged to contact the CCPE office to start the training programs.

The info sessions will take place from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on January 4 at the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on January 5 at the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.
