4Cs to Hold Information Session for Quincy College Nursing Students

WEST BARNSTABLE – Quincy College’s Nursing program was decertified last month and students interested in continuing their studies at Cape Cod Community College are invited to an information session next week.

The session will cover the requirements needed to enter the program, pre-enrollment options and the transfer of credits.

The program is Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Cape Cod Communtiy College’s Lorusso Applied Technology Building.

The State Board of Registration in Nursing voted to de-certify Quincy College’s program after years of low test scores on the state exam.

De-certification withdraws the ability of Quincy graduates to sit for state licensure after completing their coursework at the college.

Quincy College has been working to help current students transfer into other state board approved programs.

Cape Cod Community College reached out to Quincy administrators offering to assist.

Individuals seeking more information about CCCC’s Nursing program can contact Matt Cormier, the director of admissions, by calling 774-330-4311, or by sending an email to [email protected]. They can also contact Nursing Program Director Barbara Murphy at 774-330-4537 or [email protected].
