WEST BARNSTABLE – An author and nationally recognized voice in Autism education will give a free presentation Thursday night at Cape Cod Community College.
Dr. Stephen Shore will present “Success with Autism: Using our Strengths for Achieving a Fulfilling and Productive Life – Just Like Everyone Else” from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on February 28 at the Tilden Arts Center.
Shore is a professor of Special Education at Adelphi University and is a current board member of Autism Speaks and president emeritus of the Asperger’s Association of New England.
Along with working with children and talking about life on the spectrum, Shore is internationally renowned for his presentations, consultations and writings on lifespan issues related to education, relationships, employment, advocacy and disclosure.
The event will inform Cape and Islands’ communities about life with autism and provide resources for children and adults on the spectrum.
