WEST BARNSTABLE – The Center for Corporate and Professional Education is the new name of the department at Cape Cod Community College, formerly known as the Workforce Education Division.
With this new name comes an expanded pool of resources, according to center director Tammi Jacobsen.
“We’re still running our normal courses related to Microsoft excel and PowerPoint, but we’re also focusing on some executive level education opportunities for organizations and employers in the community,” she said.
Jacobsen said the department has received requests from many employers seeking dependable employees well-versed in customer service, marketing, sales, computer technology and strategic planning.
The new center will also act as a focus group for local employers and organizations to continue to pinpoint workforce needs.
This spring’s schedule will feature executive level topics, including Human Resources coaching advisory sessions, sales training and managing generations in the workforce courses and more.
