Annual Sandy Neck Diamondback Terrapin Release Scheduled

BARNSTABLE-  The Town of Barnstable Marine Environmental Affairs Division is gearing up for its 6th annual Diamondback Terrapin Release.

During the event, Natural Resource Officer Sean Kortis will give a short talk about the terrapin program and answer any questions.

After the talk, Officer Kortis will walk everyone down the marsh trail to the site where the Terrapins will be released back into the wild.

The event will get underway at the Sandy Neck Gatehouse on June 25th, at 5:30PM. Participants are asked to park in the main parking lot at Sandy Neck Beach, and walk down to the gatehouse.
