SANDWICH – Runners and walkers alike lace up those sneakers as the 7th annual Friends of Scusset Beach 5K run walk will be kicking off this September.
Registration will take place from 8 to 9 am on the Cape Cod Canal Access Road at Sandwich’s Jetty Beach Parking Lot, with race time beginning promptly at 9:30.
During the event, participants will be able to enjoy ‘Family Fun Day’ activities including games, crafts, face painting, free hot dogs, balloon animals, free breakfast curtesy of the Lions Club, refreshments, and more all taking place at 10:30.
For pre-registration, adult cost will be set at $25; teams of 5 to 10 participants will be set at $20 each; and children are set at $20.
On race day, adults will pay $30 and children will be set at $25.
T-Shirts will be provided for those who pre-register as a thank you for supporting the initiative.
Friends of Scusset Beach is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and conserving the natural, science, and historic resources of the Scusset Beach State Reservation.
