DENNIS – The Cape’s long history of summertime theater will be examined in a new retrospective exhibition on the Cape Playhouse and now-defunct Summer Stock at the Cape Cod Museum of Art.
The inaugural exhibit will open Friday, July 29th from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
It will feature photographs and live presentations of the heyday of stars flocking to the Cape’s summer theater, including images of Henry Fonda, Gregory Peck, Ginger Rogers and more.
The museum encourages those who own mementos of the Cape’s theater productions, such as playbooks, to lend them to the exhibit as it expands.
