AAA Honors Top Diamond Rated Properties

BOSTON – Fourteen hotels and restaurants on the Cape and Islands have been honored by AAA as four diamond properties.

AAA Northeast presented awards to 66 area properties recently at a luncheon at the Ritz-Carlton in Boston.

Each year, AAA inspectors visit more than 59,000 establishments throughout North America.

Of that number, only 0.3 percent receive five diamonds, while less than four percent receive the Four Diamond Award.

Local Four Diamond Hotels include The Mansion at Ocean Edge in Brewster, Captain’s House Inn in Chatham, Chatham Bars Inn Resort & Spa, Wequassett Resort and Golf Club, The Charlotte Inn in Edgartown, The Nantucket Hotel & Resort, The Wauwinet in Nantucket, The White Elephant in Nantucket, The White Elephant Village Inn-Residences, The Mirbeau Inn & Spa at the Pinehills and the Crowne Point Historic Inn & Spa in Provincetown.

Local Four Diamond Restaurants include Stars in Chatham, Twenty-Eight Atlantic in East Harwich, and Toppers on Nantucket.
