AAA Predicting Busy Roads for Christmas

trafficHYANNIS – With Christmas next week, Triple A Southern New England is predicting busy roadways and airports for the next couple of weeks.

John Paul is the Manager of Public Affairs for Triple A, he says travel for the holidays is up about 4 percent from last year.

“It’s going to be a very busy holiday travel season, we expect about 98 million people will be traveling at least 50 miles from home between the day before Christmas and the first of the year weekend.”

Of the 98 million travelers, Paul says about 90 million of those will be going by car.
