Abandoned Crock Pot Sparks Bomb Squad Response

police carMARSTONS MILLS – A suspicious device reported to police on Sunday at the Stop and Shop Supermarket in Marstons Mills turned out to be a harmless crock pot.

When police and fire officials responded to the parking lot of the store on Route 28, they  found an abandoned slow cooker and called in the bomb squad.

Police determined the appliance was not suspicious. Police said they believe it fell out of someone’s car.
