Adam Burnett Becomes New Executive Director at CHAMP Homes

HYANNIS –  CHAMP Homes has announced the appointment of a new executive director, Cape Cod native Adam Burnett.

“It was last year when I started doing the books for them and some strategic business advisory work, that I came in and got to know the organization a little bit more intimately. I really fell in love with what the organization was trying to do and when the current Executive Director gave notice back in January, I thought that my skillset of operational management, and organization management filled the need here at CHAMP Homes” said Burnett.

Since its establishment in 1991, CHAMP has helped over 2,600 individuals on Cape Cod. It currently provides housing for up to 50 residents, ages 18 to 80. Many of these residents are at-risk individuals with mental, physical and emotional challenges or are recovering from addiction and have never experienced a loving family environment.

Burnett hopes that during his appointment, he will be able to carry on the tradition of top-notch care for the people he serves.

“We wrap around the individual needs of each participant that comes to CHAMP Homes and we work with outside agencies to coordinate services, programmatic content and housing for our ‘CHAMPS’. We provide an atmosphere where they can work to become a better version of themselves so they can transition back into more independent living situations,” said Burnett.

Outside of the organization, Burnett volunteers his time with a variety of organizations. He has served on the Board of Directors of Cape Cod Young Professionals, and Barnstable Little League as well as being their treasurer.
