EASTHAM – The Homeless Prevention Council is calling their just-concluded 2017 Adopt-A-Family program a major success.
The Eastham-based agency which focuses on helping Lower and Outer Cape families, assisted 136 families and 300 children.
More than 35 volunteers and 160 family donors took part in the program during the holiday season.
Mid-Cape Home Centers and Hearth & Kettle restaurants served as collection and distribution partners.
More than 30 bikes were donated for kids on the Lower and Outer Cape.
HPC’s mission is to combat and prevent homelessness through case management.
