SAGAMORE – Drivers should expect delays at the Sagamore Bridge beginning Thursday as the Army Corps of Engineers launches a repair project.
One lane in each direction will be closed down until Memorial Day as crews fix damaged roadway joints.
The work was scheduled to begin on Monday and then again Wednesday, but was delayed due to bad weather.
Crews spent Wednesday unveiling road work signs on Route 6 and Route 3 approaching the bridge.
A similar project is planned on the Bourne Bridge in the fall.
