Afternoon Snow Slickens Roads; Major Delays Along Rte. 3 on South Shore

464402079PLYMOUTH – Ocean effect snow impacting Cape Cod and portions of the South Shore is causing significant traffic issues along Rte. 3 this afternoon.

Several accidents between Norwell and Plymouth have brought traffic to a crawl in most of that stretch in the southbound and northbound lanes.

Motorists are urged to use caution and avoid that part of Rte. 3 while crews respond to the accidents. A winter weather advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service until early Tuesday, with ocean effect snow likely to pile up 1-to-3 inches.
